Counterpoint to evolution: the Big Bang

“It is He (God) who sits above the circle (round) of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens (the cosmos) like a curtain.”
- Yes, many authors of The Bible considered the Earth to be round, but not as an Oblate Spheroid which is the actual fact. Many authors of The Bible considered the Earth to be round and flat, like the Author of Job describes "The earth takes shape like clay under a seal; its features stand out like those of a garment." the Book of Job, chapter 38, quotes God braging about the cosmology he created. In this chapter God suggests that the Earth has foundations (verse 4), that the Earth is on "footings set" measured from a "corner stone" (verse 6), that the earth has edges because the Earth takes shape like clay under a seal. These edges god claims he can grab and "shake the wicked out of it". God also claims that there are "storehouses" for snow and hail, which is more in-line with the original views of the authors who consistently wrote that the heavens/sky was a solid vault with doors and windows that god would open to release rain water. Job 38 has god bragging that only he can "tip the water jars of heaven" to create rain.
In reality all of the authors of the books of the bible considered the Earth to be flat, with foundations. Some considered the Earth to be square with "four corners of the Earth". The sky and heavens were solid (firmament) with doors and windows that God opened to cause the flood of Noah. That stars are small enough for someone to grasp in their hands, and that a third of the stars in heaven constituted the tail of the great Dragon of revelations, and that he would "cast them down to the earth" when the end times come.
